This week I had a quick in-and-out visit to the bay area. I was flying in for a work event, and of course took the opportunity to visit some old friends. As with most trips to the bay, I'm reminded of all the things I love and all the things I don't. It's a very interesting place, and one of the few in the world that I have particularly strong feelings about (both positive and negative).

I was commuting into the Mountain View office by bike all week. This was one of the main trails I was taking - to the left, you can see a huge herd of goats grazing. The gravel roads here (and in Colorado) absolutely tore through my bike tires, though.
The newly constructed office opened up in Mountain View since the last time I was in the area. On Sunday I went walking around to check it out. As all Google office are, it was very nice!
Went out to dinner with my good buddy Matt, who's living in San Jose. Bummed we didn't have a chance to go on a bike ride this time, but we were both pretty busy this week.
Friday night I headed into the city to see some more of my friends. We headed out to a nice Moroccan restaurant, then out for drinks. From left to right: Derek, Astrid, Jenn, Richard and myself.
After a long night of wandering around San Francisco and visitng some bars, we went to grab a late night slice of pizza and call it a night. But first, one more selfie!
On Saturday, my friend Ashley hosted a belated birthday BBQ for their girflriend Gracie. Guess who I met while at the BBQ?! That's right, another Aaron! His girlfriend's reaction to me immediately requesting a selfie was obviously hysterical. Always fun to meet another Aaron on the road!
And here's a couple snaps of some food I ate this week. On the left is some delicious okonomiyaki from Bushido, and on the right is mrouzia (a Moroccan lamb dish) from Khamsa.
