My time in Copehagen was relatively short-lived, as it was less of a vacation and more of biding my time waiting on a remarkably cheap flight back to the United States. I had never visited Denmark before, and so I was eager to see the city. But I was running low on holiday time at work, so most of my visit in the city was consumed working from the Google office. Nonetheless, I found some time after work to wander the city streets, and mingle with some locals at the bar.

While I don't consider myself an "architecture guy," the buildings in Copehagen really were a sight to behold. This particular one was on my route from the hostel to the office, and I stopped most mornings to admire its beauty.
The Google office itself had some beautiful views, including this serene look at a courtyard. Europe has many buildings covered in vines like this, which is probably terrible for the structures themselves but is also very aesthetically pleasing.
I had read about the interesting game of Danish pin billiards, or "skomar." The rules are too complicated to explain here, but you can read more about it on Wikipedia.
I found this grungy little pub in the city, every last inch covered in stickers and graffiti. I grabbed a beer and sat down in the corner, then turned my head to find stickers from Atlanta! I couldn't believe the astronomically low odds of that.
While most of my meals were at the Google office, I still found some time to seek out local foods. After some research, imagine my surprise when I found that two of the staples of the Copenhagen food scene were burgers and hot dogs! The burger I was especially surprised by, since it's typically difficult to find a solid American burger in Europe. The hot dog was also great, albeit the toppings were a little strange to my American palette.
